Our school, supported by our parents, has adopted a healthy eating policy. Pupils are asked to bring a healthy lunch such as sandwiches, bread rolls, scones, fruit, salad etc. to school every day.
Children are encouraged to drink water and to keep fruit drinks to a minimum. For this reason, sweets, crisps, chocolate, fizzy drinks and chewing gum are not allowed. On Friday however, children can bring a small treat for their morning break at the discretion of the class teacher.
The Department of Social Protection is providing the ‘Hot School Meals’ service to our school. This is operated by ‘The Lunchbag’. Click on the link for further information – www.thelunchbag.ie
